Samsung YP-S2QB

Samsung’s YP-S2 is one more of those faceless DAPs that are simple in design and functionality and offer the minimalist user easy transport and playback for their audio files. In this case sound quality and price play important roles in determining the rating.

When it comes to design according to me samsung is a real winner. Yp-s2 is easy to use and navigate. This glossy and smooth DAP has a set of navigation keys. The five-way nav-pad has volume keys, forward/back keys that double as rewind and fast forward, and a Power/Play/Pause key. A sixth button constitutes an on-the-fly EQ preset switcher. The YP-S2 also has a 3.5mm earphone jack located on one side that doubles as a USB port/charger (converter provided).

The earphones come attached to a loop that goes around your neck and are extremely comfortable. Equipped with Samsung’s DNSe sound engine, the YP-S2 is capable of delivering some really sweet tones. It’s loud enough to keep unwanted outside sounds at bay, and cranking up the volume won’t be necessary.

The Samsung YP-S2 manages a whopping 12.5 hours of uninterrupted music. The company states that it’s capable of 13 hours playback, so this comes pretty close.
